The main reason why Micro LED attracts so many manufacturers to compete is that Micro LED is a cross-generation display product, and its technical performance is enough to subvert any traditional technology display products currently on the market. Compared with traditional LCD and OLED screens, Micro LED screens not only have low power consumption, high brightness, ultra-high resolution and color saturation, but also maintain faster response speeds, longer service life, and higher efficiency.

Although the technical performance indicators are excellent, like the industrialization process of many disruptive technologies, Micro LED also faces high cost problems in the early stages of industrialization.

Innovative technology to reduce the cost of Micro LED

However, with the general trend of industrial development, the problem will be solved sooner or later. At present, solutions have emerged in the industry, which are expected to gradually solve the high cost problem in the Micro LED production process. Among them, the “pixel engine display technology” independently developed by A-share listed company Ledman Optoelectronics (300162.SZ) is one of the effective solutions to reduce Micro LED production costs.

Technically, Ledman's "pixel engine display technology" is based on the spatial color mixing theory and the visual characteristics of the human eye, by adding a small number of LED chips of specific light colors at specific physical positions on the substrate, combined with sub-pixel multiplexing algorithms, sub-pixel sampling and other technologies, to greatly improve the display resolution. Obtained patent authorization from multiple countries

In order to protect the company's R&D innovation results, Lehman actively applies for patent protection for the company's "pixel engine display technology" in various countries around the world. According to Lehman's official WeChat account, after successfully obtaining patent authorization from the State Intellectual Property Office in China, Lehman has recently received authorization notices from the Australian Patent Office, the Japan Patent Office, and the Canadian Patent Office, indicating that the company's patents such as "pixel structure, display panel and display device" have passed the substantive examination of the patent departments of the above-mentioned countries and will soon be issued a patent certificate. It also shows that Lehman's "pixel engine display technology" patent application work in overseas countries has made important progress and phased results.

It is understood that Ledman Optoelectronics has twice won the "China Patent Excellence Award" and is a national intellectual property advantageous enterprise and an intellectual property demonstration enterprise in Guangdong Province. Up to now, Ledman Optoelectronics has accumulated more than 400 patents at home and abroad. The patents are spread in the United States, Europe, Canada, the United Kingdom, South Korea, Japan, Australia, Russia and other overseas countries. The patented technology covers the structure, packaging, pixel arrangement, control, interaction and other aspects of Micro LED display products.
